Beauty Maxing Things That Are Worth the Money
The best beauty investments the ones that make everyday life more beautiful.
Beauty maxing has become one of the internet’s favorite insults. Somewhere along the way, caring deeply about your appearance became evidence of vanity instead of self-respect. I reject that completely.
My body is all I have. How could I not decorate it, celebrate it, and honor it? I am a prayer in the flesh. If beauty is one of the highest forms of gratitude for being alive, then caring for ourselves is not shallow. It is a ritual.
The criticism of beauty maxing is usually that it is expensive. That criticism misses the point. Beauty has never belonged to the biggest spender. It belongs to the person who understands which investments make everyday life feel richer, calmer, healthier, and more beautiful.
From someone who has never been afraid to spend money, here are the beauty investments I believe are actually worth it. Some are expensive. Some are surprisingly affordable. Every one of them earns its place because it improves the experience of ordinary life, and ultimately- makes life more beautiful.
1. Organic ingredients for food and skincare.
2. Weekly spa appointments and rituals.
3. An image consultant who understands color, tailoring, and proportion.
4. Lessons in posture through ballet, Pilates, Lagree, barre, or a walking coach.
5. The Row Margaux bag.
None of these made the list because they are luxurious. They made the list because they make ordinary life feel more intentional. To me, that is the real purpose of beauty.
